• PCRMC is home to the Mid-Missouri Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) region headquarters.  AHEC starts by reaching out to junior high and high school students by hosting career days, workshops and volunteer programs.  
• PCRMC also reached out to undergraduate students who plan to continue on to medical school by a “Patient Ambassadors Program” that allows pre-med students at Missouri S&T to volunteer at PCRMC.  
• Mid-Missouri AHEC also supports medical students and health professional schools by helping with internship, mentorship and rotation placements, among other services.
